Participants will learn acting and theater arts skills while
increasing confidence and self-esteem on and off stage.
Not Just Acting Classes
10 Week Series for serious acting students.
TEENS: Ages 13 – 17 yrs. Saturdays 2:00-3:30 pm.
October 7 to December 16, 2011
ADULTS: Ages 18 & Over. Saturdays 4:00 to 5:30 pm. October 7 to December 16, 2011

Not Just Acting Sampler – An afternoon in the spotlight.
YOUTH: Ages 7 – 12 yrs. Sunday 2:00-5:00 pm. October 22, 2011.
TEENS: Ages 13 – 17 yrs. Sunday 2:00-5:00 pm. October 29, 2011.
FEE: $60.00 (3 hour session includes snacks)
Learning how to perform more effectively used to be enough of
a goal for acting programs until, Not Just Acting classes were
developed by husband and wife team Bernice Garfield-Szita, MS,
LPC, TEP and Bob Szita, MS, LPC, TEP, Directors of ActionArtz
Training Institute of Marlboro. This drama program will not only
enhance acting skills but will increase participants' self confidence,
instruct relaxation techniques, and make use of creative drama
exercises to stimulate spontaneity and creativity on and off stage.
Bernice and Bob are experienced educators, licensed professional
counselors and directors with a specialty in personal development
through performing arts.
These innovative classes and workshops are offered to the community
throughout the year and are also available with specific educational
or training goals for school groups, businesses, and other organizations.

What some of our Not Just Acting "graduates"
- Brian, age 7, of Manalapan said enthusiastically,
“I loved spending time with the other kids and really
learned how to act! I found out I’m a great actor!”

teachers were so nice! It was a great way to make new friends
and have fun learning how to put on plays! It inspired me to
think about becoming an actress!”

really enjoyed getting together with the other kids and express
how I feel through acting. I learned that in five minutes you
can become a whole different person!”
- Tim of Freehold went on to win numerous
lead roles in Center Players’ productions and other prominent
community theater groups. “The classes helped me realize
that I had more confidence than I thought performing in front
of others. I enjoyed the opportunity to ‘become someone
else’ and remember the pleasures of play-acting from my
